Vacation Bible School
Good
Earth Village has
chosen not to offer their normal day camp program this year;
therefore we will not be holding a Vacation Bible School at Faith
this summer. Instead Good Earth is hosting one in our area that we
are invited to attend. To register for the day camp program to be
held June 8-12 in Lanesboro go onto their website at
www.GoodEarthVillage.org The Christian Education Committee
is willing to provide
transportation for most of the days. Contact Fred Troendle
if you wish to participate in the car pooling. Check out
the other ways your children can participate at Good Earth Village
this summer as well. Three other local churches will be hosting
Vacation Bible School programs. Watch for information about those
activities in next month’s newsletter.

Congratulation to our High School Seniors! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We are hoping to recognize our 2008 High School and college graduates at the worship on June 1st. If you have a student graduating this spring, please let us know. We would like to recognize them and their future plans at worship that day. Please phone the church office with information or clip and send the form from the newsletter by May 21st.
Looking Ahead… We embark on the first preparation stages to the Call Process. One important step in that process is the identifying and recommending of members of Faith Lutheran to be resources for the Mission/Ministry Study, and the Call Process in general . All ages. With varied and diverse connections to the cross-section of ministry and congregational life at Faith Lutheran Church. The Interim Pastor and Church Council invite YOUR assistance with that! We would like the whole membership of the congregation to provide nominees of potential Call Committee candidates, OR a cross-section representative group of this congregation, all of whom will be invited to be involved in the Mission/Ministry Study and the Call Process as it unfolds, joining the Church Council and other ministry leaders as a cross-section focus group for this Study. The Interim Pastor and Church Council request names of nominees to be submitted in writing to President Jeanne Yegge before the March Church Council meeting. We thank the whole congregation in advance for assisting the congregation and Council in this process, by providing nominees as potential Call Process resources. The Call Committee will not be elected by the congregation until a later time, but it is important to invite all potential candidates and a good cross section of Faith Lutheran Church to the whole process. Please be welcome to nominate a person that you think would bring good gifts and perspective to a Call Committee, or nominate yourself. It is important that we have a good cross section of our congregation to represent all ages and ministries and segments of the congregation in this important step into our future! Watch the Newsletters for more details . Keep the whole congregation in your prayers….. Also watch for monthly Interim Forums for updates, perspectives, and conversation…. Parents of College Age Students. Please call the office with the name of your college students and their addresses and we will put them on our newsletter mailing list if you wish. You can call Laurie at 932-3344. We
are looking for organists and piano players for our church services. We
are also looking for people who play guitar, the drums or any
other instrument. High School students, who are singers and/or musicians, are being asked to join us in a contemporary service. We also need someone who can do music for our
Sunday School Students. If interested, please call Carol Munsch or Laurie
in the Church Office at 932-3344. LECTORS NEEDED! We
are still looking for more
lectors to help read on Sunday mornings. Ride Share Program
Are you willing

Contact Craig Hilmer at the church in-between services if you or someone you know would like to serve the church through the video Ministry. Newsletter Editor This required
monthly editing of items submitted for the newsletter and arranging
them in a creative manner. Most submissions are electronic and
will not require retyping. If you get a kick out of publishing
programs and would like to spend a few hours a month on this project,
this is for you. Contact Laurie at 932-3344 if you are interested. |
